Get Ready for Spring by Healing This: Pisces

Get Ready for Spring by Healing This: Pisces

[2.28.23] The sun sparkled on my face through an east-facing window while I stretched. Annie Lennox sang A Whiter Shade of Pale in the background and I wept for my inner child, whose innocent expectation was again dashed by an old challenge.

I knew this wound. Okay, I’d let the emotion surface. A little wouldn’t hurt. But like Annie’s rich voice, the tears kept coming. I was hijacked.

It’s the end of the zodiacal year, now to March 20. The themes of Pisces are release, victimhood, sacrifice, healing, and surrender. The dual fish sign connotes the all-encompassing ocean. We can feel boundless emotions. At the end of the developmental cycle, Pisces energy is about unity and transcendence.

And clean house. Make room for the Spring growing season.

As I laid on the yoga mat, my guides showed me Little Sue in a bamboo playpen waiting, particularly for my Ba, to come through the double wooden doors. We lived with my mother’s family and people often walked by the playpen.

Ba had recounted how cute it was to see me looking up and check who would play with me. He was pleased that my face lit up when he came home. It wasn’t as nice for me – I was trapped in a little box, hoping to be seen.

In addition to being a toddler, I was an extrovert who needed interaction. Over time, I suppressed myself. By fifth grade my teacher wrote I “loved being quiet.” It wasn’t until my work on healing chemical sensitivity that my child self re-emerged.

Years later, Little Sue still can be triggered. I stretched and suddenly remembered I was capable of helping myself. Eyes closed, I climbed into the playpen with Little Sue and introduced the Adult Sue.

We sang, laughed, and read manga. Little Sue nodded and clapped in delight. It felt almost too good to be true. After a while, I put her in my heart’s pocket, and we merged. Heart to heart.

She had fun ideas for me too. A source of joy.

This isn’t the first time I had done this. I suspect that it isn’t the last. Each time it gets easier, taking less time to bounce back. I thanked my guides for quickly pinpointing my wound so I could work with it.

It’s not always roses and puppies. I’m good as long as there’s progress.

I invite you to embark on a healing journey that lightens you each time. Invoke your courageous heart, take some risk, and see what happens when you address an old angst in career, relationship, or health.

Free meditation to meet your inner child here.

Consider a longtime issue:

  1. What is it about it that’s hurtful to your inner child (i.c.)?
  2. What kindness does your i.c. need?
  3. What can your Adult Self do for them?
  4. To what dynamic do both of you need to surrender? (i.e. acceptance or maybe it’s not your issue)
  5. What would it be like when your i.c. knows s/he has a solid ally?
  6. What is a great way to merge your child self into your being?

You might want to do these steps a few times. Trust that you will feel lighter after releasing the energy of sad/suppression/victimhood, thus free up energy for what you want to manifest.

Rooting for you!

FEATURED INSPIRING TEACHER/COACH

I love Kelly’s energy and devotion to working with empaths. A Pisces vibe. I believe her sun in Leo draws people to her and expresses itself in her poems and art.

I create and hold space for heart-centered women to free up their energy after unsupportive relationships. Sun sign: Leo

Aside from helping people, what keeps you inspired about your work?

Inspiration comes when I take the time to listen to my body and nurture myself when needed. When I put too much pressure on myself, fear sets in and it’s difficult to tune into my inner wisdom’s guidance and receive inspiration.

What makes your work/practice unique?

I offer energetic support for my clients who tend to be energetically sensitive and empathic. My confidence and gentle approach allows them to feel safe releasing what is no longer serving them so they can experience relief from frustrating physical symptoms, overwhelm, and exhaustion, and choose the environments, relationships and experiences that align with their true needs and desires.

What has been the biggest trade-off you made to do what you do?

I spent 20 years in corporate training in development, and while it offered a steady income with benefits, and I learned a lot, the responsibilities of the job ultimately shifted away from what came natural to me—which took a toll on my body and ability to enjoy life. When I started my coaching/energy healing business, I needed to transform my way of perceiving and being so I could lead from the heart and attract those who needed and valued my gifts most.

What key factor or belief helps you or your practice thrive?
I love this mantra: I am loved and supported.
