Solstice, Fulfillment, Building What Lasts: Capricorn

Warmest greetings during the holiday season! Are we having fun yet, in the darkest time of the year (N. Hemisphere)?

Joking aside, let’s appreciate how much we’ve accomplished this year. Real effort deserves real acknowledgement, whether it’s launching a new project at work, helping a family member in need, or keeping your life together in the midst of uncertainty.

What was the biggest challenge you had overcome in 2021? How did you do it? What values did you honor?

The Solstice on December 21 marks the return of daylight. We have been marinating in the wombs of fall and winter, working through shadows and finding that inner light. Next is to recognize what is essential to our joy and make it real.

This is the theme of Capricorn, the last earth sign in the zodiac, signifying the beginning of winter. As a focused, initiating energy, it is ambitious, pragmatic, and committed to goals. The energy of the time supports planning and manifestation of long-term visions.

Manage your resources, master a skill, invoke Reiki and divine helpers, and build something that lasts.

It’s never too soon to connect to that yearning inside and express it. We are worthy of the time and consideration, despite many demands on us. Take a 15-minute walk or shower and say hello to your Self.

Remember the Vision and Evolution in the THRIVE framework. Feel into the vision, discern what skills you want to learn so that you can contribute to your community. Perfectionism, the shadow side of Capricorn, can rear its head. Remember that our efforts are good enough. See this judging, unkind saboteur and move on with love – love for ourselves, love for others. ‘Tis the season.

Capricorn energy’s dedication to mastery and success can come across as hard-nosed. Sometimes that’s needed in order to get things done. Feel free to invoke your inner authority in realizing a beloved dream. As long as we are coming from a place of service, we are good.

Here are some questions to consider as we close out the year:

  • What 3 things am I most thankful for?
  • What do I want to embrace about myself? What needs to be forgiven?
  • What is the one thing I want to manifest next? What concrete steps can I take? (Please go bold.)
  • What do I trust about the universe?

I’ve sent Reiki and love to every subscriber. Thank you for your goodwill and resonance. May you be restored, renewed, and thrive with health and abundance this new year.

Happy solstice! Yaaaay! More light each day!
I have recently obtained my reiki 2 certification. I want to focus on trying to bridge the communication gap between animals and people. I’m feeling stuck on how to move forward with it. Feel like I have a blockage that is holding me back, and I am not sure where it is and how to heel it.
